Austria Christmas Markets - Day 3 Linz

I wouldn't say that today was entirely in Linz because I didn't get to my hotel until after noon.  The train was crowded, but not uncomfortable.  The final destiation of this particular train was Munich and I was almost tempted to try to stay on, but I have markets to visit in Linz.

I was exhausted.  I didn't sleep well last night and I was dozing on and off during the journey.  I stopped off and got a coffee and sandwich i the Linz train station, which helped a little.  I had a 20 minute walk to the hotel and was super happy to find that my room was ready early.  I am super happy with this hotel, the Black Bear Hotel, in Linz.  It's in a pedestrian zone, so no traffic nearby and it's centrally located between the  Christmas markets I want to visit.

The room is small. but not claustrophobic.  It's arranged well, with a twin bed, desk, closet, and large bathroom. The shower is spacious and has a door (the one in Vienna did not).  The toiletries are luxury and I'm actually going to use the shampoo and conditioner as they smell awesome.   But, the best thing about this room is

the views from the balcony.  Yes, an actual balcony with a chair that would be great for drinking your mornig coffee in warmer weather.  The above view is off to my left..

This is directly in front of me at night.  The rings are lights that change colors.  It looks to be a mall or something.

Anyway, I got settled and passed out.  I took a 3 and a half hour nap.  Still feeling off so I just hung out in the room, toyed with getting some fast food, but decided to make breakfast reservationns instead at a local cafe.

I'm gonna pass out again and spend the whole day tomorrow hitting the markets.
