It's That Time Again!

Are you back because it's April and another installment of Further Groovy Travels?  Well, you should be because I have something special planned for you this time!  I'm going to be spending 2 weeks in Shanghai, China!!  I knowwwwwwwwww...

It's been a rough year. Working full time and taking an intensive boot camp program to learn data analytics can really take it out of a girl...especially when you're no longer a spring chicken.  But I did it and I now deserve something special.

I thought I would foray out of my comfort zone and try another continent this year.  First, I was thinking India because I've become obsessed with Bollywood films this past  year.  Weird thing is that I have no desire to go to Mumbai...I just want to see India.  However, you know I always have to do some of the main touristy things...like...oh...visit the Taj Mahal.  When I found out that the Taj will be getting a mud pack beauty treatment this year, I thought it best to postpone this trip.

Befuddled, I now had no idea what to do until I saw a travel show in PBS one Sunday morning (and I can't now remember the show) on Shanghai.   I decided then and there to go.

Did you know that there is a Disneyland in Shanghai?  And it costs less than $60/a day.  Guess who is going on her birthday??

And in a new record...I finished packing by 6pm and will possibly get a whole night's sleep.  Yay me!

I hope I'll be able to get outside of the Great Firewall and keep you updated.  VPN purchased and fingers crossed...
